Gretsch drums offer the perfect combination of tone, feel, and tradition. Their sound has always inspired me, and playing them feels like home.
Advice to aspiring musicians?:
Goran Evetović was born in Subotica in 1978. He graduated from the School of Contemporary Music and Jazz Kőbányai Zenei Studió in 2003, in the class of János Solti. In 2015, he completed his bachelor degree, and in 2017, his master's degree in percussion at the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad, in the class of Professor Mr. Nebojša Jovan Živković and Dr. Srdjan Palacković.
Throughout his career, as a member of a backing band, ensemble, or orchestra, he has performed with renowned musicians and soloists from both the domestic and international music scene.
With projects such as Rock Opera, Disco Opera, Golden Tina (a Tina Turner tribute band), renowned Serbian singers Jelena Tomašević and Bojana Stamenov, as well as the Novi Sad Big Band, Goran performs on major stages and at prestigious festivals across the region and Europe. Since 2015, he has been a permanent member of the Novi Sad Big Band, and since 2016, a member of the backing band of Jelena Tomašević. From 2025 he is touring around the globe whit a famous world music star Yasmin Levy.
Since 2019, he has published four books for drummers.
He is the organizer of clinics, competitions, and presentations aimed at popularizing percussion and drumming. He launched his clinic Path to Big Stages in 2019, as a result of his accumulated experience and pedagogical practice, with the goal of helping drummers in the country and the region with his knowledge and expertise.
