This USA Custom set was specifically designed at the USA Custom Drum Shop by Gretsch�s master
drum builders and is truly a first for Gretsch. The reason � satin drum hardware. This initial run of satin
hardware is used on all drum components - except FT legs and tension rods - and is limited to twenty total
drum sets, worldwide.
The Custom Shop selected traditional Red Duco, a standard-offer Gretsch finish, to complement the
satin hardware. Red Duco is finished in Nitrocellulose gloss lacquer, and then hand buffed to achieve the
vintage Gretsch Duco appearance. The combination of the satiny-looking Duco with the satin hardware
reveals a finish blend that is irresistibly smooth, subtle and classy.
Behind the sleek appearance lies 100% classic USA Custom drum specs and
performance. Classic 6-ply Gretsch-formula shells include 30-degree bearing
edges, die-cast hoops with interior Silver Sealer finish. The 18�x22� bass drum
and 6.5�x14� 8-lug snare drum deliver versatility and sonic punch. The 8�x10�
and 8�x12� toms are the same depth, as are the 14�x14� and 14�x16� floor toms.
These sizes were thoughtfully selected to project an overall balanced drum set
sound and provide a symmetric visual platform for the red/silver/red Duco finish
pattern. The specially designed �Since 1883� black square badges are unique; they
have not been used on any other standard-production Gretsch drum set. |
