130TH Anniversary Limited Satin Birdseye Maple
To commemorate Gretsch's 130th anniversary in 2013, Gretsch will offer this 5-piece USA Custom drum set in exotic Birdseye Maple. The Birdseye maple was especially hand-selected for its unique figuring, overall wood grain and color consistency. The shells are hand-sanded and have clear Nitrocellulose Satin finish applied over non-tinted, natural shells. Interior shells are finished with time-honored Gretsch Silver Sealer and include special commemorative and numbered 130th anniversary shell labels. Matching Birdseye Maple bass drum hoops and Gretsch Permatone drum heads by Remo with 130th logos are included. All drums are fully made to USA Custom specifications in Ridgeland, South Carolina, USA.

Gretsch Drums' popular Catalina Maple series will feature a new finish in 2013, Satin Walnut Fade. Each shell undergoes a multistep process that includes tinting the shell by hand, followed by several applications of sprayed poly lacquer with hand sanding in between each coat. The overall finish process produces a shell that has aesthetic appeal, is durable and smooth to the touch.

Carefully developed to produce tones that explode a balanced amount of warm low end frequencies
The Catalina Maple series starts with the Gretsch maple formula shell. We carefully developed the maple shell specification to produce tones that explode with attack and volume and project a balanced amount of warm, low-end frequencies. All Catalina Maple shells are 7-ply, 7.2mm.
The Catalina Maples are available in two configurations - a 6-piece shell pack set and a 5-piece shell pack set. Add-on drums are also available to allow for further drum set expansion.
