Only 12 Limited Edition 130th anniversary Vintage Cherry Burst drum kits will be available in the U.S.

Gretsch Drums is celebrating its 130th anniversary in 2013 with a line of commemorative USA-made drum sets that will be made available at select Gretsch retailers throughout the year. Beginning June 1st, Gretsch will release a very limited run of 12 six-piece drum sets in a striking Vintage Cherry Burst finish. Each drum will have classic Gretsch appointments, a special 130th anniversary interior shell label that is numbered to signify its production sequence, and a Certificate of Authenticity.

Gretsch Welcomes John Hammond

John began his professional music career almost 30 years ago touring with Grammy Award winning artist Russ Taff. Since then, he has recorded or performed with Vince Gill, Jewel, Faith Hill, Whitney Houston, Miley Cyrus, Amy Grant, Peter Cetera, Larry Carlton, Michael McDonald, and many others. John has also been featured on several movie soundtracks. Why did he chose Gretsch? "The Gretsch sound is legendary and fantastic. I can name countless recordings that influenced me that were recorded with Gretsch drums."

GRETSCH 130th ANNIVERSARY

Gretsch Drums is proudly celebrating its 130th Anniversary with a series of Limited Edition American-made drum sets and snare drums. These drums will be released throughout the year and each will include a specially designed 130th Anniversary interior shell label and a hand-signed Certificate of Authenticity. The labels and certificates will be numbered to indicate the production sequence of each drum.

Catalina Maple

Carefully developed to produce tones that explode a balanced amount of warm low end frequencies

The Catalina Maple series starts with the Gretsch maple formula shell. We carefully developed the maple shell specification to produce tones that explode with attack and volume and project a balanced amount of warm, low-end frequencies. All Catalina Maple shells are 7-ply, 7.2mm.

The Catalina Maples are available in two configurations - a 6-piece shell pack set and a 5-piece shell pack set. Add-on drums are also available to allow for further drum set expansion.
