Brushed Brass Snare S-6514-BB

Gretsch Drums is pleased to introduce new Brushed Brass snare drums available in two sizes, a 5.5 x 14 offering (S-5514-BB), and a 6.5 x 14 option (S-6514-BB).

The new brushed brass snare drums combine the pure sound of a brass shell with the look and feel of a boutique hand-finished shell. A specialized hand brushing process is used to carefully apply the shell finish, and the result is a stunning two-toned, vintage patina color effect. Since each shell is hand-brushed, no two shells are exactly the same in appearance, which adds to the appeal of the drums.

With a 1.0 mm thick beaded brass shell, the snare includes 10 classic Gretsch lugs, 2.3mm triple flanged hoops, adjustable side-pull throw off, and Evans USA drumheads. These excellent features produce classic, full-bodied snare drum tones with a wide tuning range to deliver excellent performances in a variety of musical settings.

GRETSCH 130th ANNIVERSARY

Gretsch Drums is proudly celebrating its 130th Anniversary with a series of Limited Edition American-made drum sets and snare drums. These drums will be released throughout the year and each will include a specially designed 130th Anniversary interior shell label and a hand-signed Certificate of Authenticity. The labels and certificates will be numbered to indicate the production sequence of each drum.

Catalina Maple

Carefully developed to produce tones that explode a balanced amount of warm low end frequencies

The Catalina Maple series starts with the Gretsch maple formula shell. We carefully developed the maple shell specification to produce tones that explode with attack and volume and project a balanced amount of warm, low-end frequencies. All Catalina Maple shells are 7-ply, 7.2mm.

The Catalina Maples are available in two configurations - a 6-piece shell pack set and a 5-piece shell pack set. Add-on drums are also available to allow for further drum set expansion.
