GRETSCH 130th ANNIVERSARY

Gretsch Drums is proudly celebrating its 130th Anniversary with a series of Limited Edition American-made drum sets and snare drums. These drums will be released throughout the year and each will include a specially designed 130th Anniversary interior shell label and a hand-signed Certificate of Authenticity. The labels and certificates will be numbered to indicate the production sequence of each drum.

Gretsch® presents the revolutionary Catalina Club Street Kit. But this is no ordinary gigging set-up. Its compact-sized toms and snare drum feature mahogany shells that offer reliable tone and full projection. But what makes the Street Kit unique is its revolutionary "adjustable-depth" bass drum that can be expanded an additional two-and-one-half inches in depth, from a 12" x 16" to a 14 1/2" x 16".

THE ROUND BADGE IS BACK

Gretsch Drums is proud to announce that beginning January, 2013, all Gretsch USA Custom drums will feature the traditional Gretsch Round Badge. First appearing on USA-made drums between 1930 and 1970, drum sets made with the brass round badge have become highly respected and collectible in the vintage drum community. The Gretsch Round Badge will appear on all Gretsch USA Custom drums, including G-4000 Series Metal and G-5000 Series Wood Snare Drums.

Gretsch drums were born in Brooklyn, New York in 1883. The Gretsch drum design team molded the Brooklyn series by combining classic Gretsch elements while invigorating it with new attributes. Proudly hand crafted in Ridgeland, South Carolina, USA, by a team of veteran drum builders, Gretsch Brooklyn has a sound that is at once recognizable and essential, yet distinctively reinvented.

Energize your drum passion

The Gretsch Energy series is perfect for the first time buyer and packed with features that are found on semi-pro drum sets. The Energy package comes complete with hardware and Sabian SBR cymbals. The toms feature "quick" sizes, which provide punchy tones and allow for lower positioning to benefit younger drummers. Hardware is double braced and includes stylized Gretsch Energy pedal boards. The 30 degree bearing edges, 5 Lug configuration and Gretsch style lug draw from the rich Gretsch lineage.

Renegade

Your Gretsch journey begins here

The Gretsch Renegade series is a complete drum set package designed specifically for the entry-level drummer and packed with value. Toms have "quick" sizes, which provide punchy tones and allow for lower positioning that benefits younger drummers. Hardware is double-braced and includes stylized Gretsch Renegade pedal boards and a comfortable drum throne. 13" hi-hats and 18" crash/ride brass cymbals are also included. All shells are 9-ply basswood with 45-degree bearing edges. Other features include ball-style tom holders, adjustable bass drum spurs and metal BD hoops with matching inlay.

Our legendary Gretsch formula 6-ply shell is the cornerstone of our legendary sound. Shells are completed with 30-degree bearing edges, Silver Sealer, die-cast hoops and custom finishes - ingredients all combined to make a sound long recognized for its classic clear timbre, balanced tone and explosive projection. Custom design your Gretsch dream kit "a la cart" by choosing your desired drum sizes, colors and hardware options. The Gretsch legend continues.

Catalina Maple has gained a widespread reputation among experienced drummers for excellent performance and value. We carefully developed the maple shell specification to produce tones that explode with attack and volume and project a balanced amount of warm, low-end frequencies. All drums feature a multi-step lacquer process that produces an extremely glassy-smooth finish that is hard and durable.
