Greg Garman

About the Artist
At the age of twelve, Greg Garman decided to make drumming a life long endeavor. His mother started playing drums while she was about 5 months pregnant with him. Along the musical journey, Greg won a local drum competition in his hometown, San Luis Obispo, Ca, and furthermore decided to enroll himself into the Musicians Institute in Hollywood, CA. While attending MI, Greg received instruction from world renowned teachers such as Fred Dinkins, Rob Carson, and Chuck Silverman. Acknowledging his efforts, he was awarded a second place prize for the Stanley Clark Scholarship in 2007. Through the scholarship, his band was included in an episode of Lincon Heights on ABC Family.After completing school with an Associates of Arts in contemporary drumming, Greg set out on a three month tour, performing 80 shows in 100 days, across 33 states, to help benefit the VHI Save the Music Foundation. Followed by another two month nationwide tour sponsored by Grockit (online test prep resource). Greg teaches at Musicians Institute, as well as teaching private lessons. He also performed with Selena Gomez and the Scene.
