About the ArtistIn his 25th year as a professional musician, B is fortunate to have diversified into the role of drummer, singer, clinician and educator. Performing hundreds of live shows a year in Australia and abroad, this dynamic artist has much to contribute to the Australian music industry.
Presently residing in Cairns Nth Queensland Australia, B. Brooks continues to perform with his band the Funky Love Tank (presently recording their 3rd album) and shares the stage with his Brother Stevie with their successful corporate show "The Brooks Brothers." B has performed throughout Australia extensively as well as many European Countries, Japan and the US, along with featured live radio & television appearances. Due to his communication skills and meticulous artistry ability, B has performed clinics in Australia representing the companies; Premier Percussion, Sonor Drums & Zildjian Cymbals. Recently residing in Japan for 5 years, B immersed himself in Traditional Japanese Drumming "Taiko" and undertook rigorous training and intense performances and has the honor of being the only foreigner to have ever performed the “Opening of the gates” ceremony at Matsuyama Castle Japan. B is also working as a freelance drummer for the African drum ensemble "Drum Up Big", the Jazz legend Bob Howlette and teaches selected students at his drum studio "The Groove Academy"
His expertise as a musical tutor earned B the experience to obtain a teaching position at Drumtek and to be invited to perform the prestigious Ultimate Drummers Day. At the 2009 Australia's Ultimate Drummers Weekend, B was invited as a judge for the Australia's best up and coming drummers competition in Melbourne. B plays a Gretsch New Classic Maple Limited Edition and say's “I am honored to be finally associated with the legendary Gretsch Drum Company.”
