Robi Parolin



About the Artist

Robi Parolin is a freelance drummer/writer/educator based in Melbourne Australia. Robi has taught some of the country's best up an coming drummers as well as holding positions at Box Hill Institute and and Monash University, both recognized as two of Australia's leading music institutions.

He is also one of the longest standing teachers at Drumtek, where he has taught drummers from all over the world including Korea, Japan, indonesia and Sweden. Graduating from the prestigious Victorian College of the Arts, Robi has been an active clinician for both Paiste cymbals and Gretsch Drums and has appeared at Australia's Ultimate Drummer Weekends on more than one occasion.

Robi’s inimitable style and attention to detail, have allowed him to work with some of Australia’s best musicians and performers, including noted Producers Peter “Reggie” Bowman and Cj Dolan, and artists such as Relax with Max, Adam Thompson, Steve eales, Casino, Staying Alive Bee Gees tribute show, and his band Radiodogs. Robi has also collaborated on jingles and recently performed on tribute albums to zz top and Jeff beck both featuring James Ryan.

At present he divides his time between a hectic teaching and performing schedule including The James Ryan Trio and the Steve Eales band featuring guitar ace “Brett Wood”. He is also actively involved as a writer/producer having co-written with several projects including “Radiodogs”. Future plans include a book and a holiday.



GRETSCH 130th ANNIVERSARY

Gretsch Drums is proudly celebrating its 130th Anniversary with a series of Limited Edition American-made drum sets and snare drums. These drums will be released throughout the year and each will include a specially designed 130th Anniversary interior shell label and a hand-signed Certificate of Authenticity. The labels and certificates will be numbered to indicate the production sequence of each drum.

Catalina Maple

Carefully developed to produce tones that explode a balanced amount of warm low end frequencies

The Catalina Maple series starts with the Gretsch maple formula shell. We carefully developed the maple shell specification to produce tones that explode with attack and volume and project a balanced amount of warm, low-end frequencies. All Catalina Maple shells are 7-ply, 7.2mm.

The Catalina Maples are available in two configurations - a 6-piece shell pack set and a 5-piece shell pack set. Add-on drums are also available to allow for further drum set expansion.
