About the Artist

Known as one of the best drummers of Brasil and always in touch with music, drums and great musicians since his childhood he became a professional musician at the age of fifiteen playing at night life of São Paulo.

As an all round drummer Cuca played with brasilians and international artists and musicians. Cuca had the oportunity to play with Michael Brecker, George Benson, Joe lovano, Lee Konitz, Ohad Talmor, Scott Henderson, Frank Gambale wile there where playing in Brasil, in his country he plays with 3 lady singers Marina Lima, Maria Rita and recently with Paula Lima all of them registraded in DVDS and CDS.

An icon of brasilian instrumental music he developed and participated in important projects such as “Mr.Motaba”, “UmdoisTrio” and recently “Neural Code” featuring the great bass player Thiago Espirito Santo and world known guitar player Kiko Loureiro.

Catalina Maple

Carefully developed to produce tones that explode a balanced amount of warm low end frequencies

The Catalina Maple series starts with the Gretsch maple formula shell. We carefully developed the maple shell specification to produce tones that explode with attack and volume and project a balanced amount of warm, low-end frequencies. All Catalina Maple shells are 7-ply, 7.2mm.

The Catalina Maples are available in two configurations - a 6-piece shell pack set and a 5-piece shell pack set. Add-on drums are also available to allow for further drum set expansion.
