About the Artist

Since she starting playing drums at the young age of 8 years old, Caitlin has performed from coast to coast in a wide variety of genres and has shared the stage with some of the world’s best musicians. Her current band LIKE VIOLET www.likeviolet.com showcases Caitlin's amazing talents not only on drums but on guitar and features her unique songwriting. Gretsch has been a part of Caitlin's musical career from nearly the start. Her first real kit was a Catalina Maple that her family surprised her with on her 11th birthday. Cait is not ashamed to say she cried tears of joy on that day when she received that awesome kit.

Debut Like Violet EP to be Released on 7" Vinyl

Milford, Ct. ( March 10, 2013 ) - Like Violet to release their first EP, March 22, 2013 on Unbuckled Records. The music will debut on 7" inch vinyl complete with artwork reminiscent of the classic albums of days past and will also be available through standard digital outlets.

GRETSCH 130th ANNIVERSARY

Gretsch Drums is proudly celebrating its 130th Anniversary with a series of Limited Edition American-made drum sets and snare drums. These drums will be released throughout the year and each will include a specially designed 130th Anniversary interior shell label and a hand-signed Certificate of Authenticity. The labels and certificates will be numbered to indicate the production sequence of each drum.

Catalina Maple

Carefully developed to produce tones that explode a balanced amount of warm low end frequencies

The Catalina Maple series starts with the Gretsch maple formula shell. We carefully developed the maple shell specification to produce tones that explode with attack and volume and project a balanced amount of warm, low-end frequencies. All Catalina Maple shells are 7-ply, 7.2mm.

The Catalina Maples are available in two configurations - a 6-piece shell pack set and a 5-piece shell pack set. Add-on drums are also available to allow for further drum set expansion.
