About the Artist

Julien Broca grew up in south of France. He started playing drums when he was 17 after seeing punk-rock concerts. He played in various bands during High School, and practiced a lot. At the end of his studies last year, in 2005, he met Tom, the singer & guitarist of BLISS in during studio sessions. Attracted by the energy and the work of Julien, they decided to begin the adventure together, with Seb (Bass & backing vocals) met few weeks after. After two years touring in France, and one EP recorded, they left their jobs and lives to record their debut album during 2 months in Paris (France) in 2008.

The album does not sound like anything else from any French bands but it really sounds quite "American" sort of a NuMetal/Alternative melange. Imagine big rock guitars riffs, loud rhythms and some great melodies, you're listening to BLISS, add an awesome human energy and happiness; you're watching them playing live!!

This adventure is more than a band, it's a reunion of three friends, living, working hard, writing and creating together all in the same house. It's a new family created around music, and all their feelings. The band is currently touring and promoting his debut album with the help of their partners and fans all around the world!!!

These drums will be released throughout the year and each will include a specially designed 130th Anniversary interior shell label and a hand-signed Certificate of Authenticity. The labels and certificates will be numbered to indicate the production sequence of each drum.

Catalina Maple

Carefully developed to produce tones that explode a balanced amount of warm low end frequencies

The Catalina Maple series starts with the Gretsch maple formula shell. We carefully developed the maple shell specification to produce tones that explode with attack and volume and project a balanced amount of warm, low-end frequencies. All Catalina Maple shells are 7-ply, 7.2mm.

The Catalina Maples are available in two configurations - a 6-piece shell pack set and a 5-piece shell pack set. Add-on drums are also available to allow for further drum set expansion.
