Oscar D'Auria


About the Artist

Oscar D'Auria was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He has lived, taught and played in Spain, France and the U.S., where he also did studio work. D'Auria has toured in a wide variety of South & Central American, European and Asian countries including Argentina, France, Spain, Italy, Germany, Mexico, Japan and Hong Kong.

Among his teaching credits, Oscar has the honor of being the first drum teacher at the Escuela Popular de Musica del SADEM. His continuous contribution to promote the art of drumming is unquestionable, as evidenced through his seminars, clinics and TV courses. As an author, Oscar was the first to have a rock drum method published in Latin America: "An Approach to Rock" and "The Song and the Licks" instruction video. He has five books to his credit.

In the music and show business he is a respected and sought-after musician for his experience as well as his talent and professionalism.

Oscar has played on albums and videos of many well-known artists, and with his group, "Afro Tango" on their CD's "Latin Fantasy", "Afro Tango" and "Tango 2000".
