Daniel Davison

PERFORMS WITH: Underoath

About the Artist

Daniel Davison is the original drummer and co-founder of the band Norma Jean, the current drummer of the Florida-based metalcore band Underoath, and an artist and filmmaker.

Daniel spent his early life in Douglasville, GA. In 1997 Daniel joined with a group of friends and formed the band Luti-Kriss, which would later evolve into Norma Jean.

In 2003, Daniel decided to meld his love of music with his love of art. Drawing from his early fascination with mixed-media, Daniel began to explore the integration of photography and film in Norma Jean's live shows, and started creating live video projection for the band.

In 2007, after 10 years with Norma Jean, Daniel decided to part ways with the band and pursue his own artistic endeavors. He started a film and video company named ISTHMUS Studios (www.isthmusstudio.com). He has shot videos for Oh, Sleeper; Since October; Manchester Orchestra; Sent By Ravens; and others.

After 10 years with them, Davison chose to leave the band Norma Jean. He publicly announced his departure on September 21, 2007.

Daniel Davison has now fully devoted his time to creating art. He directed and filmed the video for "Now that You're Home" by Manchester Orchestra, released in April 2008. His work can be viewed at "ISTHMUS Studio.

In 2009 Davison joined forces with Blood Company Management and currently co-manages the bands Dead and Divine, Oceana and Bear Colony

The Catalina Maple series starts with the Gretsch maple formula shell. We carefully developed the maple shell specification to produce tones that explode with attack and volume and project a balanced amount of warm, low-end frequencies. All Catalina Maple shells are 7-ply, 7.2mm.

The Catalina Maples are available in two configurations - a 6-piece shell pack set and a 5-piece shell pack set. Add-on drums are also available to allow for further drum set expansion.
